Nitrux 3.6.1 is Released with Improved Language Support

On 2nd September 2024, Uri Herrera (Graphics Designer and Venturer) announced Nitrux 3.6.1 with new features.

The Nitrux 3.6.1 still works on Linux 6.9, as the update doesn’t have Linux 6.10 because the NVIDIA proprietary driver shows an error with the 6.10-RC2 kernel build. You can still use Linux 6.10 in the Nitrux 3.6.1 through the Kernel Boot and add it to your root directory.

This latest release includes Firefox 129.0.2, NVIDIA Linux x64 display driver 560.35.03, MESA 3D graphic library 24.x series, and the Nitrux Update Tool System 2.1.6.

The new Sysct configuration helps to get better system performance and data integrity. The development team solves the battery-draining problems with Wireplumber. To learn more, check out the official announcement notes of Nitrux 3.6.1. In this update, you can get utilities such as LibreOffice and Bauh using their desktop launchers.

Nitrux 3.6.1 has new languages like Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Korean, Kurdish, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Albanian, Serbian, Swedish, Turkish, Catalan, Tatar Crimean, Czech, Welsh, Danish, Greek Modern, Estonian, Persian, Finnish, Irish Gaelic and Hindi.

The size requirements of the EFI system partition or ESP have been reduced for 100M ESP dual boot devices. The update includes the Pipx package manager, which installs and runs Python-based applications.

Nitrux 3.6.1 is now available on their official download page, from which you can download the ISO files.
