KDE Plasma 6.1.5 update from the 6.1 series has been released with bug fixes and some changes. The 6.1.5 update fixed the following bugs as well:
- Issues about snapType mapping and the color of the GTK3.
- The add-on button was missing on the Flatpak app page.
- The error with tooltips was showing it on the mouse cursors instead of the stylus’ location.
- The “Show background” icon was missing in the Breeze Plasma theme
- Errors while changing the KDE language.
- The system tray icon is not visible in the KDE 6.1.4
- Errors while setting the desktop wallpaper to an SVG file.
- Problems with the Wayland in the drag and drop panel.
- Plasma keeps crashing in ScreenPool::handleScreenRemoved.
- Errors with the SDDM configuration page in KPageWidget::currentPage()
This update included bug fixes for crash handling and distribution identifier setup. The new update, KDE Plasma 6.1.5, still contains a few more such fixes, like formatting 565 textures, typo issues with the GLTexture::upload(), and the wrong naming of variables within the shader program.
Also, some changes have been included in KDE Bugzilla since it did not target crashed applications. The update has fixed debug crashes in BlurEffect::prePaintWindow() and in platformsupport/scene/opengl.
The 6.1 series develops an error on KDE Plasma with composite manager crashes in Wayland. “The bugs also alter window stacking order: the user copies a text in LibreOffice, which will not be saved in the clipboard.” The bugs also rendered the MPRIS play/pause controls in VLC Media Player.
Apart from these, the update fixed errors in SurfaceItemWayland::freeze(), the brightness override option, and the dev build’s missing header.
The update also fixed errors with the Sourcestream, Backends/drm, Dataengines/weather/dwd, Pipewireproduce.cpp, and Appiumtests.
Last, there are additional fixes in the KDE Plasma 6.1.5 update for Appchooser, Kcms/access, [dataengines/hotplug], and Opengl/egldisplay.
