How to Install LibreOffice on Ubuntu, Mint via official PPA

Open Terminal and run the following command to add the PPA and upgrade the office suite if installed earlier or by default.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Run the following command to install a fresh copy of LibreOffice.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt install libreoffice

How to Restore or Revert Back

If you want to revert to the stock or original version, run the following command to purge the PPA.

sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:libreoffice/ppa
